Q: Features & specs info is contradictory. Is it non programmable or programmable? it says both. does it require battery's?, one part says, "Easy-access battery replacement", another part says "hardwire" and requires 0 batteries. What other info is wrong?

Q: I have a Honeywell but my furnace is a older one only has two wires for the furnace so to use that one what spots do you use to hook up to so my furnace will work with it

Q: So this thermostat Honeywell RTHB1042 will not control my original electric baseboard heaters ? Did I read that right ? What should I have bought?

  • A: I bought one for my fireplace thermostat and it worked. my fireplace service guy said it was not the one i should have and promptly replaced it ???? And them sent me a bill  I would suggest talking to a local electrician or where you bought the heater

  • A: Follow the instructions and its basic positive and negative wires 2 total that needs to be changed from what I can remember, been a minute since I changed mine. Happy heating, Cheers!

  • A: No. This is much like the old slider type thermostat. Simply sets the temperature. NOT programable.

Q: Why does it need a battery? Can I use it without battery? I am already wired for low voltage.
