Excellent quality

I have used for braising and roasting several times and this cookware still looks as new. Everyone raved about my results and the clean up was easy. It's more than I would spend at regular price but getting at nearly 70% off it is a great product for that money.

Looks great, it's not STAUB brand

I did research online about J.A. Henckels cast iron and was curious to see this pot in person. I can mention that it is not a STAUB product. J.A. Henckels did buy STAUB some years ago, though they do market it under STAUB name. STAUB products are more expensive an made in France. This has no country of origin on the package and it's probably made in China or similar country. Nevertheless it looks great and seems quality - also a sort of copy of STAUB in the sense of using black enameling inside and similar features for the lid. I would recommend it when it's on sale for people on the budget.

Great addition to the collection. 5 stars!! To others who commented on origin ...... to best of my knowledge Staub cast Iron is made in France and has always been considered #2 in the cast iron industry since inception J.A. HENCKELS (high end kitchen equip. manufacture) recently purchased Staub and is adding their well known north american name to staub products that are not as commonly know here as they are in europe

A: The Henckels International Enameled Cast Iron casseroles are made using Cast Iron, with glass enamel coating inside and out. The are manufactured in China.
