The Wall-Mounted Hose Box RollUp XL makes watering a large garden pleasant and simple. You attach the compact hose storage permanently on your house wall and connect it to the tap with a connecting hose. Thanks to the 35-metre-long hose and the 180° swivel hose box, watering your plants is a pleasure and not a chore. The hose reel follows your direction of movement and prevents the hose from kinking or knotting. After you have pulled out the hose to the desired length for watering, the particularly short locking points automatically grip and fix the hose as soon as you stop. By pulling the end of the hose lightly, the locking mechanism is released and an integrated steel spring winds up the extended garden hose fully automatically, reliably and evenly for you. Thanks to the innovative RollControl technology, the retraction is particularly safe and controlled. The integrated hose guide ensures that the hose is rolled up neatly and evenly, without getting tangled. The tap and hose connections of the hose box are part of the Original GARDENA System, so you can attach other GARDENA Watering Attachments at any time. You will always have your GARDENA nozzles to hand: they can be attached underneath the wall bracket and stored there to save space. The high-quality material is UV and frost proof, protected from weather damage, and can therefore be used all year round. In addition, the hose storage is secured with an anti-theft device. All necessary connection and assembly parts are included with the Wall-Mounted Hose Box RollUp: a wall bracket, a connecting hose, all necessary Original GARDENA System Parts and a nozzle with two different spray jet options. A little less confidence in a top brand name.

Compared to a similar Gardena hose reel (made in Sweden) that I bought last year, this one made in Germany, has a softer hose and doesn't feel that strong. The clamp-on quick connect came off easily after just a short use and Gardena seems to be aware of this issue as it is mentioned in their brochure! For such an expensive hose reel, it doesn't have a lockable mounting like my other hose reel. You can dismount this hose reel by loosening just 1 Philip head screw! It also doesn't come with a hose guide roller. Other than that, it works equally well and looks good.

Received a used - broken - dirty item. Had to return to a store nearby and they didn’t want to refund. Had a gift card instead. I can’t believe a Canadian Tire employee actually thought it was okay to pack and ship this item the way it was. Even all the accessories were missing.

A: Siding alone, no. It depends on what's under the siding. The unit is heavy. You'll need to find a stud or other structural frame to mount the item.
