Handy tool saves your back.

Bought this product because I can't bend down like I used to. Works great and works well for most weeds especially larger ones. Only draw back is that once you have picked the weed, it must be manually ejected from the tool. That is usually an easy process but some of the larger ones were a bit difficult to remove from the tool in wet soil conditions.

I liked the design of this product as it didn't take a huge chunk out of my lawn. Initially it was easy to use and the twisting action got the entire weed with root out. Wowever, the ejecting motion is very difficult and I couldn't do it. I used it three times and had to give up b/c I couldn't eject the clod of dirt. This product would be good for someone who has a lot of upper body strength.

Pleased with this Weeder

Bought this because I was unsatisfied with my Fiskars weeder (It was difficult to precisely center on the weed, resulting on multiple tries to get the same weed - or leaving a good portion of its root. Additionally, the ejecting mechanism would become loose and prevent you from being able to plunge the claws into the ground). This weeder is quick and easy to use. It's simple to line up and effortless to plunge into the ground. With a quick quarter turn and ratchet back, you can easily pull out the weed in its entirety. The weed ejector is works well most of time, with the occasional jam that requires a bit more force to remove. Admittedly it does leave a decent size hole (approximately 1 inch), but I roughly kick off the dirt on weed pulled in an attempt to refill the hole. I am quite pleased with how this weeder performs - especially after owning the Fiskars model.
