Low cost tool for snow removal

I bought this early 2013. It was easy to put together and I found that I could easily remove snow from my roof using this tool. It does tend to be a little floppy when you start adding each extension. I have a bi-level, so I can't reach high up on the roof but can still remove the heavy overhangs of snow. So if you have a bungalow (as opposed to a bi-level), this will likely reach much of the roof. For less than 50 bucks, I think this tool is worth the money.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Works good - in deep, heavy snow as well.

Bought this to help me pull down the snow off of my roof -- which in drifts was up to 48cm high. Installation is easy - very few parts and the diagram instructions are straightforward. I used it a bunch today - for a solid 3 hours. I like that the extension handles simply snap/click in place, making it easy to change lengths. Fully extended it is a little flimsy, but I gave it some time and got a technique going pretty well. I'll be putting in another few hours tomorrow to clean a bunch more snow off. If you're looking for something to give you a lot of reach without having to use a ladder - this will work well. It seemed very durable based on the amount of force I was placing on it.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Solar panels uncovered!

I bought this snow rake this morning, because I was so frustrated that my solar panels were covered with snow and on this bright sunny day I was only producting 43 measly watts. I spent about 10 minutes outside hauling the snow off the panels without stepping on a ladder and without getting mini avalanches on my head and now solar production is up to 204 and still climbing! The rake is lightweight and ridiculously easy to use and I am not a big fella, but a little middle aged lady! The instructions for putting it together are a little less than clear, but anybody with a grain of imagination can figure it out. I am sold on this product!

    Yes, I recommend this product.
