Just mounted it on my Nirve cruiser and it’s perfect. Added a long tie wrap to the frame to keep it solid. Looks well built. Good depth for light shopping or trip to the mail box a mile away.

good basket

I bought this today to hook onto the front of my bike.
It did not fit right out of the box because i have a wider handle bar.
I had to bend the hooks to fit around the bar and add electrical tape because it scratched my bars.
The bottom of the basket was rubbing against my tire without any load in it even after bending the hooks to be wider.
At this point I considered taking it back for a refund but decided I would bend more metal until it fit nicely.
I bent the hook closer to the base of the basket to raise it away from tire and added a second hook that went below the cross bar.
I add a steel bar I had around to below the crossbar for more support under load and to prevent it from coming off on bumps as some other reviewers suggested.
Good basket but could use some improvement when it comes to fittings.

Q: What Brand of bike does this basket attach to the best?

A: Dont know about particular brands but what is needed is a handlebar that has room to support the the two 1" hooks and the depth of the basket. My Suntour bike has a handlebar that curves downwards from the grips and it supports this basket perfectly.

Q: What is the maximum capacity?

A: I loaded my basket to the max with groceries weighing approx. 20-25 lbs. many times. This may have adversely affected the integrity of the hooks however, as, first one, and then later the other snapped off. And, sadly, the hooks cannot be re-attached.

Q: Secure Attachments? Does this basket simply just hook onto the handle bars of the bike, or is there an attachment to hold it securley in place while riding? (ie. velcro, strap, etc.)

A: The basket simply hooks onto the handle bars of the bike. No additional secures are necessary. There is no bobbing, juggling or sliding as the basket holds securely along typical city streets whether it is empty or full. Sometimes I used a bungee cord across the top to keep lightweight items from flying out but the basket handle suffices for this purpose as well.
