[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys liked this toy however they did not use it as intended in building a fort. They built some boxes and then grew bored of the toy. The balls to hold the sticks together soon became weapons. It was not as sturdy as it seemed it would be.
No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful toy that helps with building skills! My son would always make forts out of the couch cushions and now he can make his own with different shapes and sizes. This is easily put together and you can put any sheet or blanket on top for a great hideout. I am so happy we finally got one of these. My kids are extremely happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have twins that love to build forts! They will use literally anything they can find to build them. This makes it so much easier to configure a shape that they like to make a proper fort that doesn't fall down every second. So much fun for them and they use their imagination creating different designs together. Would make a great gift.

Q: Are these strong enough to support the weight of a blanket or sheet and do they stay together well?

A: It will certainly work with 1 or 2 sheets, if you make it sturdy enough it can hold a heavier blanket. Also have strung lights on it as well. We have used fitted sheets and clothes pins bought at a dollar store to make the ceiling and walls. They can be tough for a child to build as the holes in the balls are tight fitting but our daughter who is 6 can do it. She starts it and I end up tightening the connections when done. With a bit of forethought and making sure each ball is connected by 3 bars it stands up to her playing with it and attacks by the cats. Not sure why people have issues with putting them together. We did buy two sets when they were on sale.

Q: Is crazy fort compatible with this product. I already have a crazy fort but would like another set for the kids to make a bigger tent etc

A: Crazy Fort is by a different vendor from the Discovery Kids Build & Play Construction Fort. We are not able to confirm compatibility.
