Cordless is the way to go

I work with a drywall crew. With 5 or 6 of us going around a new build. The huge mess of cords crossing over each other is crazy. I'm very experienced with a corded version and I dont find any difference. I just read the other review and I'm not saying what the other person that wrote the review wasnt as experienced as I am but whenever I have to cut out a box in the ceiling or wall I always use my key hole saw to begin the hole then I go to my cut out tool. Never try to push the bit thru the drywall sheet. I have this 18v version but I have the adapter to use 20v batteries. I never found the need to change this tool.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Disappointing Performance

I used this tool during the Hurricane relief effort in the Houston area. I was really hoping that this cutout tool would make cutting drywall efficient, accurate, and smooth. When you let the tool bite, it takes longer than using a simple utility knife. When you push it, you run through expensive bits. I was terribly disappointed with this tool. Circ saw set to depth or a simple utility knife is a much better alternative.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have owned this tool for several years and it is great for cutting holes in just about any thin material. Lots of different bits available.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
