Great Value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator surprised me with the versatility provided by having the ability to run off both gas and propane. This machine is very efficient, and easy to set up. Out of the box this only took around 10 minutes to prepare for use. This conveniently came with the correct amount of oil making the initial preparations simple. Once the wheel were installed their generator was easy to move despite the size. Using propane as the fuel source resulted in moderate volume but not too disruptive. So far it seems that about 3 hours of light usage only used half of a tank of propane running three 120V refrigerators.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Perfect fit for my existing Manual Transfer Switch

I just bought the 6500W Dual Fuel Generator yesterday and will be using it to connect to my existing Manu l Transfer Switch in my home. I used ChatGPT to be sure I bough the appropriate sized generator. I was planning on buying the Champion 8000/10000 W Tri-Fuel Generator, however it was considered "overfill" for my installation. ChatGPT recommended the Champion 8000/10000 W Tri-Fuel Generator because: 1. ~6500 W continuous output (gas) and ~5850 W on propane. Champion Power Equipment 2. Has a 120/240 V 30 A L14-30 outlet, which matches the Pro/Tran 2 switch’s inlet. Champion Power Equipment 3. The Running capacity fits nicely under the ~7,200–7,500 W limit of the Pro/Tran 2’s 30 A rating. The installation was very simple and the oil provided (1100mm) is the exact the amount required to fill the engine oil... I was not sure at first of I would need to only add some or all of the oil. Still important to check the oil before operating either way. I'm waiting to test the set up with an electrician so I can't comment on the runtime yet, however the generator runs nicely, I'm happy with level of noise and the large wheels and grab bar make it very portable. I'm happy with my purchase.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Super quick and easy setup

Just bought this yesterday to prep for the ice storms we are getting. We have another smaller Champion generator and love that one. I haven’t had to use this new one yet but I know it will work when I need it to just as my previous one has. These generator are quality made. They are also really easy to setup. Needed oil is included. Add the oil, wheels and front rubber feet and it’s ready to go. This particular unit is heavy but two woman were able to lift it into and out of a pickup truck. I love the dual fuel option. It will allow for extra runtime if I run out of gasoline. Some may think it’s loud but when the power is out I don’t really care.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Dependable power

This is my second Champion gen. Lots of power and easy setup. 1st gen is a 2000w inverter. Used it during many outages for the past 20+ years. Hoping the new one performs just as well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Portable power

Bought it to power my mobile office trailer when working remote and no access to 230v power. Have about 40hrs on it so far and no issues at all, starts easy even in -30c it starts 2-3 pulls. Cold weather running powering a 230v heater, 110v space heater, 2-laptops, 4- monitors, lights, radio, toaster oven, microwave and no issues. 5gal fuel tank is lasting me +-10hrs. Only down side that some might have is it is rather loud, not unbearable but louder than higher end models

Q: Is there an inverter for the Champion 7325/8125 Watt Dual Fuel Portable Generator?

3 Answers
  • A: Technically speaking, ‘inverting’ is the process of changing Direct Current (DC) into Alternating Current (AC). So, your generator already provides the ‘inverting’. CONverting is the reverse process, AC>>>DC.

Q: What is the actual model number for this generator? Downloading the manual say it's model #100320 but when I search that number on the champion website, nothing comes up. Also, the picture in the manual doesn't look the same as the picture here???

  • A: I can only confirm that my dual fuel 8125/7325 Generator is also model# 100320 ( sticker on the gas tank above the handle) and is also slightly  dissimilar to the generator pictured- the plug/breaker array is different. After the break in period I had to adjust the valve gap ( running rough/ hard to start)

  • A: Sure, there are all kinds of adapters that let you go from gen plugins to wall and trailer plug ins but all 4 would provide better and safer connections You can always plug in two 15 amp plugs to get thirty amps

Q: Does this generator have any form of 12v output? I know some pull-start only generators have 12v terminals for some reason. Considering putting one of these into an outdoor "generator box", and thinking a simple 12v fan would be good for venting it.

  • A: Unfortunately, this machine does not come with a 12V DC port. Some of our inverter generators, however, do have these ports. Thank you.
