    Ultra quiet!

We have 2 kids bedrooms directly above the garage, and the old garage door opener was noisy. Really happy with this product, we could barely hear it, and that's if we're listening for it! The control panel is well designed, minimal but functional, the sensor housings are easy to adjust, and if you use a spacer block (on ground) and level you shouldn't really need to do much to align these. It can come with more staples though for the wires. I needed to use them sparingly in order to organize all 3 wires (sensors and main control). I will need to staple them securely later. This is my first time installing a garage door opener. It took an afternoon but the instruction was pretty decent, covers many different scenarios.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Good unit- not particularly easy to install

Once the unit was installed, it worked very well even on a double wide steel garage door. Operation is smooth and fairly quiet. Unit itself is fine. I notice many of the other posts mention easy installation. I found installation to be about the same as any other opener- not particularly easy or fast. My installation took about 9 hours start to finish. Don't expect to slap this in in a couple of hours as mentioned by some of the other customers.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Très silencieux du à sa courroie, lorsque l'on active cet ouvre porte, nous comprenons immédiatement qu'il s'agit d'un système de qualité supérieure et c'est pour ça que je le recommande. En plus il a un bon rapport qualité prix!

better off with a cheaper one

with motion sensor?? sure it's pretty neat for the light to turn on as soon as you walk into the garage... you can even turn off the sensor BUT it only works when the door is closed.. if you have the door wide open and working on the car the light keeps turning one every time you move.. wow what a great feature - who needs the light turning on every few seconds with a door open

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can I link this to my built in HomeLink car garage door remote?

Q: I need to replace the whisper drive plus.  Can I purchase a new unit and install on the existing rails I already have installed for the older unit?  Or are newer units not compatible? Thanks

    1 Answer
    • A: The answer to the question is it does depend on which unit you have to what you are replacing. When you say rails and are referring to the rails that come down from the ceiling than – yes that should not be any problem to re-use the hanging rails – but we do include rails in the box. If when saying rail you are referring to the 7ft rail that your chain or belt runs along that would depend. You mention replacing a whisper drive, so you would have to be sure to replace with a belt drive unit and it will work – although we do recommend in our instructions to replace all the pieces so you are getting the latest in terms of rails, parts etc.

Q: What is required to install this on my 8' foot door and where can I get it?

    1 Answer
    • A: To answer the questions below this unit along with all of our Chamberlain units are Homelink compatible. With some models the person inquiring may need to contact our Tech support Centre at 1-800-654-4736 to purchase a compatibility bridge. Here is a little better explanation below, and states this on our package and instruction manuals. Go remote-less, and get more control with built in HomeLink Compatibility. You can use your vehicle's Homelink buttons to control gates, doors, and lights from the driver's seat, and without the remote. Certain vehicle makes/models may require a Compatibility Bridge™ (not included) to operate your garage door opener via the HomeLink buttons.
