Mount the bag directly to a bare roof using the included mounting kit or to existing roof rack systems with crossbars

Worked for what we needed, used plastic bags for our items inside to keep them dry. Would be better if waterproof. Stayed in our vehicle good with no roof racks or bars. Strapped inside the car. Mat bunched your from the wind. Would buy a better mat

Instructions were followed and unit was installed properly. Rain water penetrated the unit and contents were damaged as a result.

A: Doesn't seem to be scratching as long as you place the anti slipping protection between the bag and the roof. It comes with the bag.

A: 13 cubic feet is about 3 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet. should hold a lot more than just the sleeping bags. Make sure you put everything in plastic bags, carrier is not waterproof.

A: Yes, fits virtually any car. See my review for info about poor rain resistance. Put everything in the carrier in plastic bags.

A: You aren't supposed to put any roof rack/bag/anything on a sunroof/moonroof.

A: Yes, will fit any car. Understand that the tie down straps go through the rear passenger area. This reduces headroom, and in my case helped rain water enter the cabin. The water followed the straps into the cabin and dripped on rear seat passengers.

A: Yes, will fit any car. Understand that the tie down straps go through the rear passenger area (Look carefully at product picture). This reduces headroom, and in my case helped rain water enter the cabin. The water followed the straps into the cabin and dripped on rear seat passengers.

Q: Hi! Does the 'CCM Rooftop Cargo Bag' (Product #40-1180-8) comes with clips to mount it in the door frame of my car (2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX)?

A: No clips, just two long straps that go around the carrier and through the cabin.(Look carefully at product picture). This reduces headroom, and in my case helped rain water enter the cabin. The water followed the straps into the cabin and dripped on rear seat passengers.
