Good for firewood

Had the tree only 2 years and now about half of the lights don't work. Seeing as they are all pre installed on the tree, you have to fiddle with all the connectors and change fuses to get it to work and even at that there is no garantee it will.
And to top it all off, you can't find repalcement bulbs the connector on Canadian Tire's website, so you have to buy them from somewhere else or buy the bulbs only, take them apart one by one remove the bulb from the holder, put the new one in and put it back in the socket. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon....

Very disappointed

Bought the tree 1 year ago last year it worked fine
This year the vast majority of the lights are out.
Spent many frustrating hours trying to get them working. Ended up using it with the few working lights.Will try to return it but it’s been a yearl.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this tree after searching for weeks as I was tired of my old beat up unlit tree. Anywho, I was so happy I got it 50% off! Took it home, and the set up was so easy (I hate fluffing, and didnt have to with this beauty)! When I plugged it in though, half the lights didnt work. So I tried replacing fuses and bulbs , only to have to return the tree. CT said its a discontinued tree due to the numerous issues with the lights, and I could not purchase another one. Now, I have a toddler whos upset because her tree is "broken" and Im left on the hunt again for a new tree.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Well worth the money

I have to agree with some reviews. When you remove the tree from the box. You do have to shape it and if you put it back in the box. you will have to again when removed from the box it came in. So my wife decided to put the tree in 189L plastic containers. Tree has three parts to it so three containers. This will correct 90% of having to shape the tree. We just put the tree back in the containers for the third year. No issues at all. Lights all work like they should. We always had clear lights and when looking for a new tree. I wanted color but when I seen this tree I wanted it no matter if it had color or not.

Q: Hi there. I bought this tree today and the tree came without a foot pedal and strings of lights do not work. Is the pedal a separate piece or should it be attached? I worry I have a faulty product.

A: The tree should include the foot pedal. This model carries a 1 year exchange warranty redeemable at any Canadian Tire store. Please return the tree to your local store for an exchange.

Q: I am having trouble locating an outlet end on the top section of the tree to plug in the topper? The cord for the topper will not reach the extension cord in the middle of the tree. Can you confirm if the only plug is the middle of the tree?

A: There are 2 connections to plug in within the tree, plus one to plug into the wall outlet. The manual is located on our website under the specifications on the right hand side. This will illustrate where the plugs are located.

Q: The .pdf for the Canvas Ashby tree shows the 3 red-tagged plugs that must be connected into the "main" extension cord. But, it does NOT address the remaining 5+ plugs. What's the configuration for them? It's not addressed anywhere. Tree won't function.

A: Each section of the light set should connect end to end first, and then insert red-labelled plugs into the red-labelled extension cord. Please see the images below:

Q: If one light burns out does an entire section turn off? I am wondering if a single bulb goes out if just that bulb is dark orbit an entire section goes off.

A: The string will stay on if one bulb burns out but don’t remove the bulb until you replace it. Once you remove the bulb, that string will become unlit.
