Canvas Grace Ceiling Pendant Light

Purchased this pendant lamp to illuminate stairs from living room to basement. It is an LED unit so requires a 12v supply which is housed in the black part at the top of the globe and thus doesn't require any volume in the outlet box in the ceiling as I've seen on similar lamps. This feature was a deciding factor for me because the outlet box was at the apex of a sloping ceiling which would have necessitated significant modifications to accommodate an LED power module at the outlet box. I use an elongated bulb containing 2 LED stages rated at equivalent to a 40w incandescent bulb. I like the simple uncluttered design which, with the installation limitations, leads to my high rating.

Nice fixture, just can't get the glass clean

We installed the fixture, turned it on and noticed the glass needed cleaning. No surprise. Even after cleaning inside and out, it looked the same. Then my husband cleaned it inside and out with his special glass cleaner, no change. We're not sure if there is a factory sealer left on or if this is as a result of the tinting process to the glass, but if you are a neatnik you might go nuts. Lights out, it looks great, lights on, it's cloudy and looks dirty. We will try cleaning one more time with yet another product, but I'm not sure I'm able to live with the cloudiness of the glass. Time will tell. Like the style, though.

Q: How do you adjust the length of the cord so it looks clean?

  • A: We only had to use a third of the cord provided. We just cut it and tucked the remaining into the base to hid it. There is a little white screw where the cord meets the base. If you loosen it, you can adjust the length of the cord. When you get the length you want, just put the screw back and tighten it. This isn't in the instruction manual and the little screw is hard to find. But it is there.

Q: The lights looks great but I can not get them clean... try damp cloth and then winded nd then just dust cloth but doesn’t seem to matter what I try it’s cloudy and leaves marks.... how do you get these clean? Thanks
