Garbage

Ugh, what a pain in the butt. So many of the pre dug holes weren’t in the correct place, meaning things didn’t line up. My BF made adjustments in order to fix it. The doors are horrible. They don’t line up and doesn’t stay closed. Now my bf still needs to spend time making them look the way they should be. Go to IKEA

Perfect big-little!

Purchased this today on sale and put it together myself (41/F). The box is HEAVY so be prepared for that. Took my time putting it together - it was about 3 hr from opening box to completion. If you have experience putting together IKEA furniture then this will be easy. Some instructions could have been better written/better diagrams so if you’re a newbie to putting furniture together, you may feel lost at some points.
As for the piece itself - it’s a big small meaning that it doesn’t take up much space but man, does it feel like it’s a bit of a black hole. Not suited for heavy duty items but great for my needs (kids lunch bags, school snacks, 2Ltr pop storage, etc).
i dont think i would pay full price for this item, but for what i paid (on sale), well worth it.

Q: I noticed in one of the pics the shelves under the drawer has slots to hold wine and the next picture the exact same shelves don't have these slots. Are those particular shelves reversible or is there extra slats boards to make those shelves either or?

A: The shelf is flat on one side, and has slats on the other to store bottles, which you can turn the shelf according to your need.

Q: Dear Canadian Tire Team, please explain why the product images show a diagram that says the top of the cabinet can't hold any weight, while the product video shows the cabinet with things on top, and recommends using the top of your furniture as storage.

A: To answer your question, I have one of these cabinets and it appears to be well made. I store stuff on the top of my cabinet. The manufacturer may be cautious about putting stuff on top because the cabinet may tip over if top heavy.

A: The back on the outside is that cheap particle board stuff in the typical brown colour... the back on the inside has that fake wood veneer the shelves have.

Q: What is the weight and dimensions of the package. Need to know if it will fit in my car and if I can carry it myself.

A: The box is as long as a full size pickup truck bed (about 5.5'), not likely to fit in a car. As for weight, my husband could lift it to get into the cart but it was very heavy and we ended up cutting the box open down stairs instead of trying to carry it around the house.

Q: Can this be put together without the feet just a flat bottom?

A: The feet are separate, so it can be assembled without the feet. However, the feet are bolted to front and side rails. So you would have to not use the rails as well. But the rails are mostly trim.

A: This cabinet is not meant specifically for bathrooms which means the humidity in the bathroom may affect the cabinet negatively. The cabinet has not been tested to withstand bathroom conditions.
