Great machine but poor CS for repair.

This was a GREAT bread machine! It mixed well, cooked evenly and helped us to save money on bread with our busy family. It takes up a small footprint on our counter and the single paddle is good for less "moving parts" to break.
Unfortunately the belt seems to have let go and they do not support repairs or replacement parts to repair. It seems to be a big waste to landfill if the machine works well but needs 1 small part to continue.
That is my disappointment. :(
That is poor customer service on the manufacturer part (Black and Decker). :(

Ok for a while…

I have been making all sorts of breads & loaves in the last couple of weeks. I just started a sourdough loaf & checked on it after about an hr. Nothing. It's making the noises but no action. The pan & paddle are perfect but the inside where the pan sits is not turning the paddle. I unplugged it to see if it was just a belt or something easily fixed but it can’t be opened due to a couple of specialized screws holding the bottom on. I can buy a new machine for what I’m sure the repair cost would be, if I could even find someone locally. I'll be buying a different brand.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Easy to use! Very good results! Runs quietly and Is easy to clean.
The fresh bread aroma fills the whole kitchen as the bread bakes. Can make two different sizes of loaves.

Great breadmaker

I have had this breadmaker for about 5 years and now find, sadly, that the grease is seeping from the bread pan mechanism. I am hoping to purchase a new bread pan as this breadmaker is perfect for our use.

A: I have a wheat and dairy allergy so I use wheat free flours with mine. It works very well with oat, potato, and rice if you're not allergic.

Q: all time I bake bread, this machine always have strong smell of burning plastic. the smell doesn't go away and stay in the house for few hours after baking. only smell if fine but if also inhale plastic molecule it's not fun nor healthy, any clue anyone
