Piece of junk

Purchased after a previous Cusinart Food Processor finally broke after 15 years. This one didn't even last 3 months or 3 uses. The centre post which links the drive motor to the blade cracked in half. Absolutely appalling. Would definitely not recommend.

Made A Mistake , Twice

This unit is less then 3 years old and used about 4 times a year. My wife asked me to check it out as it doesn't run very well. When I did , the plastic stem was partially stripped so that the blade had little to attach and would spin. Then I noted that the motor won't start, even when holding down the button. It went into the blue box this morning. But get this , my wife just bought the exact same unit this morning . She says it's different . It's not, as I still had the old box. Dumb and Dumber! Wish Us luck! I hope to take it back without pulling teeth.

Very useful high performance machine

We had a similar machine from the same brand that last for 15 years, we mainly use it for making dough and grind meat and vegetable. This one is a little more complicate than the old one, but more protections. Once you know how to properly align the 3 parts, it's very easy to install and use.

I ended up using my broken KitchenAid rather than use this noisy hunk of junk! Cumbersome lid, extremely loud motor, not effective whatsoever.

Q: Can I use it to chop beef? If yes, I'll certainly get one. If not, what options do I have? I'm an infrequent user.

A: If you use the S blade and do not overload the bowl it will work. Please do take note however that the beef would stick together and ball up. If you don’t want it to stick and ball up you are better off using a meat grinder or meat slicer for chopping beef.

A: Technically - yes, you could use the pitchers/bowls for the 432196 on this motor base. However, the actual motor of the 2196 is designed to mix food better as the "smart speed technology" included in it automatically adjusts the power based on the load of the food. The 0692 motor is strictly a blender motor and will not do this. So it will work but not perform optimally.
