Great price ... but

The hockey pants don’t have buttons to attach suspenders. The Velcro on the shin pads, meet up in the middle (back of the calf) which is a bad design, easily the Velcro can chafe the skin if it’s not strapped together perfectly.

As a first time hockey parent I was overwhelmed with not knowing what my kids would need. This kit made it so easy! All the padding is very durable,we've been able to pass it down to our second child so have got 3 years of use out of it. Definitely got our money's worth

Great equipment, easy to use and very light. Has all the padding you'll need for an affordable price. Now you'll just need to get skates, helmet, mouth guard, jock, neck guard, a stick and water bottle.

Q: Do you carry a larger than youth hockey kit? Our son is just starting ice hockey. He is 4'11" tall; 88 lbs in weight; and is 10 years old.

Q: Why is the Bauer Basic Kit not available in a medium size in stores? They have small and large only available in all locations I have been too and the staff indicated that they don't even have access to a medium size, and that there is no product code for a medium. Very frustrated.

A: The medium size is product number 83-5446. Stores should be able to place a special order on your behalf.

A: It would all depend on the size of the child. We cannot say for sure if it will fit, but the chart below provides some “guidelines” as to suggested fit sizing. SMALL 4-6 YEARS 3'3" - 4'1" (99cm - 124cm) 40lb - 60lb (18kg - 27kg) MEDIUM 5-8 YEARS 3'7" - 4'4" (109cm - 132cm) 45lb - 65lb (20kg - 32kg) LARGE 6-9 YEARS 3'11" - 4'7" (119CM - 140CM) 50lb - 70lb (23kg - 32kg)

A: We give age ranges for the sizes of the youth kit. Since every kid can be different, it’s hard to put an exact height on this. The age range for the large size would be 8-9.
