Good board, cheap fins
Not wanting to spend $2000 on an expensive inflatable board I found this one. It's great for those who live in a condo/apartment. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it though, I couldn't get it up to the recommendedge psi (and still can't). I ended up buying a rechargeable quick pump to get the inflation started then I finish blowing it up manually with the provided pump. Saves a lot of time.
I also bought my own paddle. The paddle they give you is OK... it's just that when it gets wet (water seeps in at the area where pieces connect) the grip is not stable.
My middle fin also broke after about 10 rides. Got the other 2 still and while there is a slight difference, I still get by. Just have to work a little harder.
You definitely feel the difference between a regular board and this one. Probably best to start using it on flat water first and then go from there.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Aqua Marina will leave you with leaky board, and no warranty support. Not worth it!

Love the board, just not the quality

I bought this paddle board. I have used it 4 times for a total of about 6 hours. When deflating it today I noticed that the deck pad has a very deep crack across the centre. Love the board but there is definitely a manufacturer defect. Will be returning tomorrow. Regrouping and figuring out what to do next. Love the sport!
I agree with the other reviews about how hard they are to pump up. It took two of us operating the pump to get 12 psi into it. Great workout though.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Love this board!

I purchased this board around christmas time and was recently able to take it out for the first time! The pumping time was about 10 mins and I managed to get it to 10 psi. The board was stiff enough for me to stand on and paddle around with no problems.
The tri-fin system was definitely very helpful with tracking in the water. The fin was little short, it works well for me (I'm about 5'7) but it would be a bit short for someone taller. This was definitely easy to transport to and from the beach and I really enjoyed using the board. This board was also really good at deflating and was able to be wrapped and ready for transport under minutes.
Overall very happy with the purchase!

Better than expected, great SUP
I read all the reviews online here before buying, and despite some negative feedback on the fin in particular, decided to go ahead and buy 2 in the middle of summer this year.
Our experience with these has been fantastic. Living in a condo, there's no room for rigid boards. I was very concerned that these would be flimsy, or feel like toys, but we have used them over a dozen times now and they are great.
Inflating is quick once you get the hang of it. You'll be on the water in less than 10 minutes. Similar time to actually de-roping kayaks we used to travel with on our car.
On the water, they've been great. Padded deck is perfect for people who want to kneel a lot (friends who are new to it), and the size is good for adults. I am around 175lbs, my wife 145lbs and they've been solid for both of us.
Have been on calm water, and in some waves too. All on salt water - ocean. I'd fall off due to waves before I'd ever notice the board flexing more than is acceptable (its barely noticeable even in waves). It's also comfy to sit on this and paddle. It has completely exceeded my expectations. I'm not sure why I would need a thousand dollar board.
It's also light enough that it is easy to carry a longer distance. We visited some friends, and were about a 5 min walk from the water. We left them inflated, and would easily walk down to the water with the board under one arm.
Have done 2 hour trips on this board and been happy with it. I would say that the learning curve is perhaps slightly steeper than using a 12 foot board that's rigid, thicker and wider. But once you've learned, this is a little more agile, and you're a bit more actively engaged with the water. I have been on rental paddle boards that were impossible to tip over and that's not really what I like when on the water.
Have not had trouble with the fin, but can see how it could snap off if you put weight on it. be careful when you're getting in the water - I am generally in knee-deep water when I jump on. That way the fin can't hit the bottom.
Once again, a really fantastic board. If you're tall, you may want to buy extra paddle extension pieces (via manufacturer perhaps), or get a longer paddle. If you buy two boards, the tall person can use both extension pieces ;)
