Horrible product peels after the first winter

I bought this product because it said it would last 8 years. it didn't last 8 months. It is peeling in several spots. I followed the instructions when applying and left a couple of days between coats. I noticed when i applied the product that is was very thin and not thick like the asphalt sealers. But was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. I will go back to the Black Knight Airport Grade that i used to apply about every 3 years and would last the 3 years.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This was pretty good stuff. He didn't do as much as it said it was going to do though. I wasn't able to get all the way up to the edges and I didn't want to buy another full pail just to do the sides. I would recommend it to a friend if they needed a good dick layer of it, but not just to darken their driveway

Q: Should you wet the driveway for the 2nd coat as well as the first?

A: I don't know about dampening the driveway for the second coat, but it sure made a difference in application of the first coat to follow the instructions and dampen the driveway before rolling. Seemed to apply much easier. Going to tackle the 2nd coat tomorrow.... Not sure why Cdn Tire responded not to wet the driveway - the instructions indicate otherwise.

A: I don't think ANY sealer protects completely against de-icing salt, but they tend to act as a sacrificial layer to be "beat up" by the salt, rather than your actual driveway. The thicker the product, the longer it will protect against the salt.

Q: Should the extreme airport driveway sealer be a brown colour in the can?
