Pads are not well made

The pads break down on the edges because they wrap around and come up the sides of the backing pad, so they tear and get damaged. These are NOT for pro use and will only last one or two jobs before throwing them out as they will mark the surface of the paint. Nice kit/idea, but it is not well made. I used a Porter Cable random orbit machine with a replacement backing to accept these pads, same results using an air polisher.

The little pad worked wonders. The polish and wax are nice and easy on, easy off, it took a few hours and some patience.

Q: What are he recommended and maximum rpm/opm for use with this kit?

A: There really is no recommended OPM for this kit. Typical machines run anywhere from 1800 to 6800 opm. Anything within that range will work. The Scratch Remover and Shine Restorer should be used with slightly higher speed to give the material the cutting action to remove the defects. It can be slowed down for the wax application. Start in the middle (4000 opm) and check your progress. Speed up if more cutting is required and if it is comfortable to do so.
