As discussed by others... The DC car adapter head broke after about a year. Light usage (maybe 4 times). Very cheap plastic on the adapter. Just cracked apart. The screw on valve is also finicky. Cannot recommend

Poor quality valve material
This pump is unusable to me because the poor quality valve attachment will not properly screw and unscrew from the tire stem valve. While struggling to remove the valve I loose significant air pressure (15 psi) which leaves my tire at a lower pressure than when I started.
I would NOT recommend this product to anyone and will not be depending on it for emergencies.

Poor materials

After a year of use, the plastic connector inside the compressor attaching the hose to the pump cracked, causing air to leak. It should have been a metal connector if it would be under such pressure. The digital gauge was difficult to read in daylight, it needed to be shielded to see the numbers. It was good while it lasted.

Q: how long is the cord?
Just a question - how long is the cord that plugs into the car? I am just trying to figure out if this unit will reach a tire that is currently installed on the vehicle.

A: I haven't measured it, but I can reach the rear tires of my Dodge Caravan minivan without running out of cord. I keep the driver or passenger door open and feed the cord out the door.

Q: Does the PSI count down?
I attached the machine to the tire and it read 9 PSI. I started the machine and the PSI jumped to 60 PSI and then started counting down. Is this right? and how do i know when to stop it? My tire should have 30 PSI.

A: Please ensure that the tire valve is free of any debris, which may affect the read-out. In addition, another alternative would be to shut the unit off to reset the digital screen and then try again.

Q: Is it good to use for inflatable boats or rafts ?

A: I would say no.
Not because it won't do it - it will, but it will take forever.
It cannot be run more than 10 minutes straight, or it will burn out. I can easily see it taking several hours to will something of that volume. I would recommend using a higher volume unit.

Q: What is the Amperage requirement for the 12V outlet?
2 Answers
A: No power specs are provided with the unit, but from experience I would say around 12 amps. It blew a 10-amp car fuse when connected to our dashboard outlet, and the fuse in the unit's plug is rated at 15 amps.
