What is a detail sander?

Detail sanders are handheld sanders that use a piece of sandpaper to go over large areas of wood or reach corners and other tight areas. These tools are ideal for woodworking projects that require a spotless appearance and extra-smooth finish.

What is a mouse sander?

Mouse sanders are simply a type of detail sander that use a triangular sandpaper pad. Another kind of detail sander is an orbital sander, which uses a round sandpaper pad, typically used on larger surface areas. Their respective names are used to distinguish their specific function in the sanding phase of a woodworking project.
