What plant food and fertilizer to use for indoor plants?
There are many types of indoor plant fertilizers on the market.

Organic fertilizers are made from natural ingredients, such as bone meal, fish emulsion, and seaweed. They release nutrients slowly over time to help prevent overfeeding.

Liquid house plant fertilizers come in different formulations that contain dozens of micronutrients, vitamins, and plant hormones. Since they are easy to apply and quickly absorbed by indoor plants, use more frequently than granular fertilizers.

Slow-release fertilizers are granular fertilizers mixed into the soil of your indoor plants. They release nutrients slowly over time which means you should fertilize less often.

When to fertilize indoor plants?
When you should fertilize your indoor plant highly depends on its species. Providing plant food for your indoor plants during the spring and summer, also known as the growing season, is the most beneficial.

How often to use fertilizer and plant food for indoor plants?
For the best results, base the frequency of indoor plant fertilizer application on the manufacturer’s guidelines. In general, liquid fertilizers will need to be applied more frequently than granular products.
