Why is it important that I winterize my RV?

RV winterization is essential for protecting your vehicle from damage caused by freezing temperatures and other winter hazards. Proper winterization prevents costly repairs and extends the life of your RV, ensuring it’s ready for camping season.

What do I need to winterize my RV?

You’ll need RV antifreeze to protect your RV’s pipes, tanks, and water lines from freezing. Winterize your trailer with an air compressor to blow out any remaining water from your RV’s plumbing system and a water pump converter kit to pump antifreeze through your RV’s water lines.

What are the steps to winterize my RV?

1. Drain all water from your RV’s plumbing system, including the fresh water tank, hot water heater, and all water lines.

2. Add antifreeze to your RV’s plumbing system and use a water pump converter kit to pump the antifreeze through the water lines.

3. Run antifreeze through all RV appliances, including the toilet, shower, and sinks.

4. Open and drain all low-point drains and water lines.

5. Remove the batteries and store them in a warm, dry place.

6. Cover your RV to protect it from the elements.
