I bought this fan and the remote unit (in the fan) didn't work. You can't return it without calling the Noma help line and then I had to wait a week for them to ship me the new remote unit. Also, I had a dimmer switch on the wall for this but it didn't work well with the dimmer that came with the remote (had two dimmers). I had to replace the wall switch with a non-dimmable switch. And, the light (60 watt bulb) that comes with the unit really gives hardly any light. I bought this fan for over the kitchen table and you can't see with that little chandelier bulb in it. I had to bring another lamp into the table area to see. My friend also bought this fan and complained of the same thing (not enough light). Other than it not working out of the box and the problem with not enough light, it's pretty good.

Purchased when we updated my son's bedroom. This is perfect fit for a small to medium sized bedroom. It looks good. Installation was straight forward. Only hiccup was trying to screw blades to lamp unit. Dropped a screw in the housing and it was impossible to recover unless you take the housing apart. To be critical - one 60w light bulb is okay, two bulbs would be better and the remote works fine but when we use the wall switch to work light there is a delay to turn on the light. When you use remote to turn on light, instantaneous. Otherwise happy with this purchase.

This is by far the worst fan both in installation and features I've ever owned. I've bought and installed over 10 ceiling fans so I know what I'm doing. The fan is useless without the remote (ie there are no manual switches/pulls for the light or fan functions). The remote receiver installation in the housing requires millimeters of clearance while trying to tuck all the wires into the housing and even then it is very tight. When after an hour, you get the base housing installed, each fin is installed by screwing in 2 screws through a slot (narrowly larger than the screw head), all while trying to hold the rotating base they go into and align the fin screw hole. The screws do not fit a #2 robertson or even a #2 phillips (I don't know what they fit???) so they will fall off your driver and get trapped in the housing making you undo the base from the ceiling, turn it upside down and start all over. I tried pulling the whole thing off and doing it on a work bench and even with a magnetic screwdriver it was impossible. Since I took it all apart I could not return it. I was going to donate it to habitat for humanity but threw it out as I didn't want somebody else to experience trying to get this thing together. Obviously nobody from Noma had ever put this together after designing this on a computer. Even on sale 50% it is not worth it, or free for that matter. Save yourself some headache and get another unit.

Beautiful and does the job. Liked it so much bought another for the second bedroom. The low profile mount was perfect for my low ceilings. Excellent customer service.
