Q : The essential oil tray has a thin, white, rectangular object in it, possibly foam, possibly to protect the unit in transit. The instructions regarding the essential oil tray do not mention it nor its purpose. Is that object to be removed before use?

After some trial and error experimenting I have discovered that you MUST leave that foam/felt rectangle in the tray if you wish to use essential oils. If you remove that foam/felt rectangle and put the oils directly onto the plastic tray, it will damage the humidifier. The oils will gum up the compartment. Fortunately I was able to clean the unit with strong cleaning products. Hopefully this information is helpful to anyone else out there wondering how to use the essential oils tray. I just wish the instructions were a little more clear about that beforehand.il y a 4 ansUtile?
