Worked Well for 2 Years

I have owned this mower for 2 years and was just starting the third season. It has functioned flawlessly up until now. This past weekend the drive wheels stopped turning. After troubleshooting the drive belt, cable and wheel hubs it is apparent that the transmission is slipping. I am unable to find a parts diagram online anywhere for this orphan (nobody seems to want to claim it).

Yes, I recommend this product.

Really good Commercial Mower, 2 Years of use

I’ve been using this Mower for the last 2 years now and I’ve put around 800hrs - 900hrs and it has been running good. The only problems I’ve had was when I got it assembled by the Canadian Tire employees, they put the Blade on backwards but besides that and just changing oil and changing the gas after each season it has been a really good mower. Also if you wonder How the AWD or 4x4 is, it helps a lot for going up hill or thick grass. I’ve cut grass up to over my head with it and I’m 6’1” and it cut like champ. This lawnmower is really Heavy for one person to put it in a back of a truck. Also Yardworks is also part of Toro so if your looking for a lawn mower blade or something that is wrong with the mower, go there they will help you a lot if you can’t find anything from Canadian Tire

Yes, I recommend this product.

  • My Equipment and lawn
  • Lawn that I’ve cut with the Lawnmower
  • Really over grown grass
  • Another lawn
  • Half cut, Half uncut

Blade adapter weak

Went to start the mower up today for the second season of mowing, heard a clang and bang and the blade got spit out, the star blade adapter completely stripped and sheared off. Trying to find replacement parts for this machine...good luck, have not found anything in 90 minutes of searching.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great engine and great buy.

Just got this from my local Canadian Tire. Weird as I was looking for a deal on a self propelled mower with the Honda engine but could not find one online. I did find Columbia mowers cheaper so thought I would go into CT and get a price match. They would only price match the exact same mower but then they showed me this model with a ton off so I grabbed it. I think paying $100 more for the Honda engine is well worth it. Used the mower three times now and all is well. It runs great. Only negative I can see is the machine is heavy so when you are finagling around trees, going back and forth and not using the self propelled activation all the time, it gets a bit tiring. I think I just have to get used to having the propellsion unit going forwards and should be using it to go that direction all the time. Love the mower, though. :)

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 10 of 10 Questions

Q: So how powerful / helpful is the AWD? I mow a hill and the front wheel drive helps some but not enough. Does this work well on steep terrain?

2 Answers
  • A: This Lawnmower is really good for going up steep hills, I’ve had this lawn mower for 2 years now and I do commercial mowing so I’ve gotten  a lot of a hours with the machine. If your going up a steep hill with the bagger will be hard than just mulching so just keep that in mind when mowing

Q: I bought a Yardworks 060-1670 from Canadian tire , i was confident it was an AWD. So i brought it to Trinidad and did not assembly until after 1 year. I was heart broken when i found that it was only front wheel powered drive only. now the belt broke.

Anonymous3 years ago
1 Answer
  • A: I bought a 2 WD Toro in August 2020 not a Yardworks. I googled the belt and I found that it uses : Format 2/5-in x 30.9-in, This belt is an automotive type belt that is replaceable.

Q: How to adjust the speed of the self propelled Yardworks all wheel drive lawn mower?

1 Answer
  • A: This mower is equipped with a dual-paddle Auto Walk system to control the variable speed function. The more you squeeze the paddle(s), the faster it goes. You can squeeze either paddle individually, or both at the same time to control speed.
