    Died after 4 years

Just died out of the blue won't start. I found the bolts to be very lose on the bottom of the handle and did lose one over time. The thing still looks brand new but now isn't working. The low start rating is true with this mower. Great at starting never a problem but not built to last.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Great mower

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I have had this mower for 2 years and have had great luck with it. Starts every time first pull. Even in the spring after sitting all winter it only took 2 pulls to start. The handles are nice and it is powerful enough for most tall grass in the yard. Uses way less fuel than my last mower which had an older Briggs motor.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Garbage mower - died two summers.

Bought this mower... engine died back to back summers. Horrible ... the engine would lose power half way through the summer. I had to get it fixed at a authorized retailer that was far away according to the manufacturer. I got it repaired and then the engine died again at the very same time the next summer. Horrible mower.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Waste of money!

Awful lawn mower. We put it together properly and the blades kept coming loose every couple times we used it. We'd tighten it thoroughly and it would keep happening. It is also very shakey and almost hurts your hands to mow with it. Never again will I buy this brand.

Q: My aunt gifted me this lawnmower after she used it for one season and coudn't get it started, I still haven't bene able to get it started after fresh gas, plug, filter....I find it odd that there is no primer or choke...what am I missing here

    1 Answer
    • A: Honestly if she used it for 1 season and it wouldnt start on the 2nd season, I'd see the carburetor is the culprit. I have this lawnmower and while it's cheap/fragile, I take care of it and the best way to make sure it runs in the spring is to put stabilizer in the gas before winter storage. Some carb cleaners can get the clog out but you have to soak it... good luck. Otherwise a new carb will be needed because its all internal small diameter keyways and hoses, uncloggable in some cases.

Q: this mower is 150 cc. what would this be in horse power. my previous mower was 5.5 hp. just wondering if this is comparable.

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes, the power output is comparable to what would have been rated as a 5.5HP in the past. Lawnmower engines are no longer rated in HP, but rather feet-lbs of torque. This motor puts out 6.25 Ft.-lbs of torque, which is plenty of power compared to similar push mowers of the past. Also, engine displacement (in this case 150cc) does not have a direct correlation to power output, so Briggs & Stratton puts the power rating right on their engines.
