The Worx WG324.9 20V Power Share 5” Cordless Pruning Saw is the perfect around-the-yard or on-the-go compact cordless chainsaw for pruning bushes, trimming limbs, delimbing fell trees, bucking fell trees, and more. A great tool for chopping up logs for the campfire, clearing a path while hunting, or for just maintaining your property. Full of safety features, like the retractable guard over the bar & chain, and the handle guard to defend against flying debris. This is a less intimidating chainsaw, with a compact, lightweight form-factor that makes it easier to operate and control. But it doesn’t skimp on the specs. The 5 in. bar length is long enough to delimb 4 in. diameter branches if the tree is still standing, or 10 in. diameter branches if it’s already on the ground. But at that size it excels at getting at harder to reach and awkwardly placed branches that a full-size traditional chainsaw wouldn’t be able to easily reach. The chain speed is 18.4 ft./s. (5.6 m./s.) with a ¼ in. chain pitch and 0.043 in./32 links chain gauge. It only weighs 3.86 lbs. with the battery attached and 3.04 lbs. bare. That light weight makes it easier to hold up high when pruning. The Worx WG324 20V Power Share 5” Cordless Pruning Saw is ideal for residential homeowners, home flippers, or outdoor enthusiasts. A truly handy little cordless chainsaw. This particular Worx model doesn’t come with a battery. It’s meant for Power Share users that already have some batteries at home. Q: Chain & Bar lubrication? On this item's page it shows the chain tension knob as the ( automatic chain lubrication ) but in it's user manual only shows manually oiling the chain & bar on pg.10 figure F. Does this 5" saw have a built in oil reservoir?
4 years agoA: I just received this 5" chainsaw and can definitely say - these do Not have an oil reservoir. In the pic above on this page where it points to a cap or knob for the location of the oil reservoir, that is just the knob for attaching the orange plastic cover over the chain sprocket. There is nothing else under that orange plate. Sorry guys/gals. The user manual says & shows only manually oiling the bar & chain about every 5 cuts. So far I have Not found any brands 4-6 inch chain saws that (actually) do have an oil reservoir - regardless of what the advertise.
