We've bought both this size glass & the smaller glass for using at the lake. They work very well for hot or cold drinks. We have used them for wine, tea, coffee & hot chocolate for all ages. I like the thinness of the rim for drinking from and the feel of the outside of the glass to hold on a cool evening or a hot day. The outside doesn't reflect the temperature of the liquid inside. They also stack very nicely in the cupboards.
