We love it

This was our first weekend using it, and we really like it. Roomy for the two of us, with room to put the clothing bags if we stay put. Weight seems fine, but it's not something we worry about seeings it gets carried around in Jeeps. First time setting it up has a learning curve, of course, so we will get faster as we use it. But we usually diddle daddle anyway, so no big deal. We are out there there to NOT rush! It was windy and it held up well. Inside you don't even notice ... love all the tie down points and stakes for this. Didn't get any rain, so can't speak on that. But the poles hold the fly away from the tent nicely, so I think it should be good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we haven't tried it in the rain yet.

love and hate

Love and hate this tent. Love the large vestibule and how it faces sideways, gives privacy in the tent. Very roomy for two, even room for your gear inside. Well ventilated with no condensation. Not good in high wind. On our first night last summer on our road trip around PEI, the pole broke in the wind into the night. It broke on the top part where they are attached together, very poor design. I had to duct tape it and it sort of worked for the rest of our 4 week trip. On our last couple of day the pole in the vestibule snaped in half in the middle of the night rippping the fabric. Now the tent is really wrecked. I wished i could get replacement poles, i would give it another chance. Maybe i just had bad luck.

J'ai cette tente depuis quelques années maintenant. Utilisé au moins 20 fois, beau temps mauvais temps, du début du printemps à la fin de l'automne et je dois dire qu'elle est bien construite. Facile à monter par une seule personne en moins de 15 minutes, Il y a un code de couleur qui facilite la tâche et elle vient avec des piquets d'aluminium en V. Le vestibule est très pratique en cas de pluie ou de neige, puisque cette tente est 4 saisons. Seul bémol c'est le poids qui est un peu élevé pour faire de la randonnée.

Q: I am looking for a smaller tent from my current 4P Marmot. Was a little surprised that the fly attached by ties instead of clips - I've only had fly with clip attachments. Has anyone had any issues with fly staying secure? Thanks for any feedback.

A: I bought this tent specifically for the fly and vestibule. It assembles easily with one person. The fly attaches with good quality clips not ties and only requires one peg in low wind conditions but can be pegged securely in high winds. Overall highly recommended.
