Keep a roll of electrical tape handy

Worked fine other then needing to tape the poles together as most of the shock cord that connects them was broken.... Put it together before you need it and keep a roll of electrical tape with it.

I question the manufacturing quality of the tent poles. I wish I’d spent $20 more on the Coleman

And ok tent, but I wish I’d sprung for the Coleman with a full vestibule. Plus one of the poles that supports the partial vestibule snapped the 4th time I used the tent 🙁… and I have 40+ years of tent assembly, and it wasn’t ’user error’.

Tent was easy to set up by myself , much more room than I thought, it’s perfect for me and my big cot . Only problem the top pole is too long , after finally getting it in , everything didn’t line up , contacted company, waiting for them to get back to me

Q: The pole system is " Shock-Corded Fiberglass", how does it differ from aluminium/steel pole ? The pole system is "4 x 9.5 mm Shock-Corded Fiberglass", how does it differ from aluminium/steel pole ? Which are more reliable in a windy/rainy situation given other quality of tent are accounted for ?

A: Aluminum is lighter weight and does generally have more strength. We have several aluminum options. The Woods Creekside tents are fiberglass and have good rebound and is rated to last through tough weather conditions, but it does make the tent a little heavier. If the customer would like to look at our aluminum option tents designed for backpacking, we can suggest the Cascade Tent series 766074, 765512 and 766075.
