So much struggle...

Trying to get a fire lit is an exercise in frustration and requires 30-60 minutes of feeding it paper, cardboard, kindling, propane torch to try to get the (dry) wood to light and keep burning. That’s while fighting all the smoke that continually pours into your house every time you dare to have the door open.
It feels like this stove is actively working to prevent a fire from happening. Once I FINALLY get a fire going, often with an hour or two of having to have the door cracked open for it to get enough air, it never really gets HOT. So much effort with this stove for so little result. Has been a continual exercise in frustration.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This thing is a champ!

This thing is a champ! I've had wood heat forever and this stove is AWESOME! Yes the first burn will cure the paint and probably fill your house with unwanted smoke. Open a couple windows. It's a new stove, deal with it. Get over the first burn and it rocks! It's a secondary burn tube stove not a catalytic and it will heat your home perfectly. I can literally shut it down with vents and go back 10 hours later and still have coals to start a new fire with dry wood. Buy this stove you will not be disappointed...
