A: That is misleading at best. See http://sitem.herts.ac.uk/aeru/ppdb/en/Reports/1235.htm for details on the hazards. Note how bad the inhaled form is: the lethal dose is just 1.08 mg/l for mammals.

A: It doesn’t seem so! I’ve had partial refills from the year previous, and they still kept the vampires away!!! I have told numerous folks about this product, and even given some as gifts...I’m a believer!

Q: Why does the box say "72 hours" but the text says "80 hours"? - How long do they actually last?

A: The small container that it comes with doesn't last all that long and I forgot it turn it off so even shorter but... the refill is full size and I haven't had to replace it (last summer and now this summer). I use it when I'm in my screened-in porch (doors are open because of the dogs). I put it on a coffee table about 5 feet away and I'm mosquito free within minutes. Sorry, I can't specifically answer your question but I'm very happy with the product.
