Poor basket design

Have had same fryer before last one lasted years. This one we took back as the basket has different design and has clamps that stick out additional half inch behind the basket to sit on top of machine to drain the oil off your food. So the basket doesn’t sit in the pan. It’s too big and you are forcing basket in. When you force the basket into hot oil it pushes the handle forward and releases it and basket is slanted in oiled. Bad design and wished they left the basket to have the resting clamp same as before. Dangerous with hot oil.
