The auger drilled three and a half holes before the gears piled up. Went back to Canadian Tire and they had no problem replacing it with a new one. I am sticking with the strike Master because friends have them and swear by them. I think I just got a dud.

I actually have real feelings for this auger! And it’s love Game changer! It actually makes me feel bad for anyone who has anything less than this thing. Gas augers are for losers It has reverse!!! Get it! I did and I’m a better person now Get that hole smell’n like fish! Did they post this???

A: Yes they can be on a charger for longer periods. These batteries have no memory they out last regular cell battery. I wouldn't really recommend it though.

A: Right on CTC site 40-volt, 5-amp hour lithium ION battery powers an electric DC brushless motor for more reliable, constant speed and torque. FYI - super happy with it as is my buddy with his. Easily drills 30 holes in 40 inches of ice in day.

A: 1 year from date of purchase but only if registered which is a simple online form. Don’t hesitate to buy a Strikemaster Auger. I have owned the 3 top brands of Batt Op auger and by far SM is the best hands down!
