    Lots and lots of work make for a sturdy product

    I have no doubt that this thing is secure. But it takes a lot of work to get done. The instructions recommend 245kg of concrete. That's about 8 bags of the regular stuff. I didn't find I needed *quite* that much but it was close. This stuff takes a week to cure properly, and there are two pours. So it's at least 2 weeks until it's usable after buying. It's heavy and a lot of manual labor to get done. Good product, but understand that you're getting yourself into a lot of work!

    No more blown over net!

    Very happy with this purchase. No more having the net crash down during spontaneous wind storms. Took a few days to dig hole, install base, fill pipe with concrete, then mount unit. Definitely need 2 adults to complete final install.

    Q: Hello, whats is recommended/good depth for the in ground portion? I'm only worried for the winter frost.

      A: HOLE DEPTH OF 24 INCHES IS THE MINIMUM ALLOWED. DEPENDING ON LOCATION, A DEEPER HOLE MAY BE REQUIRED. CONSULT LOCAL BUILDING INSPECTOR AND/OR BUILDING CODES FOR DEPTH OF FROST LINE. PLEASE NOTE A DEEPER HOLE REQUIRES ADDITIONAL CONCRETE

    Q: Does the top pole and the net come off for storage during the winter?

    • A: The installation process requires you to back-fill the pole with cement.  As such, the top part will not come off for storage during the winter. Hope this helps.

    Q: Will this basketball system work with the goaliath anchoring system? I purchased the anchor system that comes with rebar rods and anchors into place. On package says it will work with all 7x7 hoops with anchor kit
