Save your money.

I bought this hoping it would clean brake dust and weather related dirt off some alloy rims that had been sitting for a year outside. I might as well have used dish soap. I washed one rim and sprayed and brushed with a stiff brush. I used a half bottle and I think I saw a couple spots of the purple that it was supposed to turn. Rinsed off tire. It was disappointing to say the least. I bought a different product from a "lab" and it blew this product away. Save your money.

Expensive chemical that will save you some elbow grease to clean caked brake dusted alloy rims. In the end you’ll need to use a pointed spoke brush with car soap to get clean rims.

Partially effective

Removed most of the staining, but a significant amount remained even after a second application are rubbing with a rag and brush.

I've used many different brands over the years and I find the Sonax Car Wheel/Rim Cleaner to be the best. I found I got the best results when spraying Sonax Car Wheel/Rim Cleaner onto the rim and then agitate with a soft brush, wait the recommended 3-5 minutes and hose off.
