    Leaked everywhere

    Completely failed to plug that leak and end up leaking out all over the ground. When we put the spare on and threw the flat in the trunk, it leaked all over the trunk. Plus Canadian Tire had the nerve to give me grief when I complained. Garbage product. Garbage customer service.

    Hello bob2788899, thank you for your feedback. To ensure the Slime Emergency Tire Sealant with Thru-Core technology works correctly it is important to note it only works on punctures in the tread area and can work properly on punctures up to 6mm (1/4") in size. Anything on the sidewall will not be able to be fixed. It is important to follow each step on the back of the cans directions for proper installation including shaking the can before use, positioning the valve at 6oclock and then waiting 30 seconds after installation. Thank you

    Hello Danny, we're sorry to hear that Slime Emergency Tire Sealant with Thru-Core Technology did not meet your expectations. Just in case this was your experience, the installation directions indicate that the tire must be mostly deflated. The pressure in the can is not capable of exceeding the air pressure in the tire. There is no possibility for the sealant to flow through the tire valve stem while the tire is still inflated. After deflation, the pressure in the can will push the sealant through the valve stem and into the tire. The tire can then be re-inflated. With repeated rotation of the tire, the sealant will seek out and seal punctures to the tread area. Slime sealant will not seal leaks in the side-wall or the rim-seal area. Thank you.

    Hello Will, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the Slime Emergency Tire Repair Tire Sealant did not meet your expectations. While this may not be your situation, it is important to note that the tire cannot be inflated while trying to install the sealant. The air pressure in the tire is much higher than the air pressure in the sealant can. The tire needs to be mostly deflated in order for the tire sealant to flow into the tire.     Q: I have slow leaks from two of my tires. Tire shop says its due to old rims not sealing well. Will one can of this product repair x2 tire slow leaks?

Slime® Thru-Core Tire Sealant is temporary, emergency tire solution that instantly seals punctures up to 1/4” (6mm) in diameter in the tread area of tires. Unfortunately, it will not seal leaks to the tire sidewall or rim-seal area. We are sorry that this product will not resolve leaks to the rim-seal. Thank you again for your question.
