A: Are BPA coffee makers safe? Q: How do I know if my coffee maker is BPA free? A: If your coffee maker is mostly glass and stainless steel, it's safe. If yours is made from cheaper plastics, which contain BPAs and PFAS, however, there may be some cause for concern. However, you can protect your machine against toxicity by maintaining it well, using filtered water, and opting for shorter brew times.Jun 1, 2023

Q: I bought your Simplicite 043-5755-2 coffee maker. Just got it home and there are no ENGLISH instructions enclosed. Only French. Don't tell me to print off the instructions from the web because there aren't any there.

Q: is this Simplicite coffee maker BPA safe?

A: The carafe is glass and your coffee grounds are placed in a paper filter. The plastic is opaque and therefore no BPA. Exposure to any plastic is minimal. In my honest opinion, even if there was a slight chance of any BPA, it would not be significant.

Q: Are the internal plastic components of this machine BPA free? And/or, are the internal plastic components otherwise regulated as "food grade" (or similar designation). These are SO cheap, I worry about how safe/regulated they are in this respect...

Q: The paper filter question again...is it a cone filter or a basket style. Could you recommend a compatible Melita filter (one that is for purchase form Canadian Tire) for this particular coffee maker? Thanks in advance.
