My first time trying to grow grass! I followed the directions and had great results! I had to sprinkle more seed down as area I had sewn seemed a bit sparse in areas as the grass was coming in. This seems like a common practice though! I will continue on in my grass growing/lawn restoration commitment!!

For a premium price grass seed, this stuff is anything but premium. Absolutely horrible. Don't waste your time with this seed. Just goes to show the big name brands are many times the worst choices.

Great Seed for Shaded Area's

I have successfully reseeded most of my backyard using this seed. My Backyard sees about 3 to 4 hours of sun per day as my backyard has lots of tree cover. If you keep the area good and moist and every night give a through watering you will have seedlings in 5 days. That's all mine took. I find the best trick is to spread the seed and then cover it all with a thin layer of topsoil. Then like I said KEEP WET and in 5 days you will see growth. Put in the effort and you will be rewarded. Happy seeding

We're sorry to hear you didn't get the germination you expected. Water is an important factor in successful seeding. The newly seeded areas must be kept constantly moist for weeks on end. Allowing the soil to dry out even for an hour during the critical germination phase can result in seedling death. This may require that you give the seeded areas a light watering two to three times a day for the first few weeks. After that, you will still need to keep the seedlings watered on a regular basis. The soil should feel moist like a wrung out sponge. Temperatures also play a critical role in seed germination. Soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees Fahrenheit (13 degrees Celsius) for grass seed to germinate. Air temperature must typically be between 15-26 degrees Celsius. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low nighttime temperatures. Very hot weather will also inhibit seed germination. This is the third yard I’ve planted lawn, but the first time using this brand and product. First two lawns, with other brand lawn seed, were very successful. With this product, after 30 days, there is no sign of germination. This seed was a complete waste of my time and energy. I failed to keep my receipt for a refund, so take note if you buy this product. 1st recommendation - don’t buy this product. 2nd recommendation - if you buy this product keep your receipt for a refund.
