Many of the weed killers on the market here in Canada are next to useless. Weed B Gone does kill some broadleaf weeds, however, it is not very effective at all on weed varieties that tend to grow along "vines". Even so, in order for this product (and others) to be useful you have to apply them several days in a row. I am disappointed in the self application products and equally disappointed in the effectiveness of weed control by the Professional" companies which I also pay for.

Q: does it kill ground covers like phlox in a rock garden?

A: Probably. As long as the liquid spray stays on the plants leaves it should work. It does not work on clover for that reason in my experience. Works great on creeping Charlie and dandelions.

A: The battery compartment is in the wand. The current wand comes with 3 replaceable Duracell AA batteries. Using screwdriver remove the 2 small screws at bottom of the wand to open battery compartment.
