Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with our Rust-Oleum HOME Interior Floor Matte Clear Coat. What you described is never what we expect to hear. To help avoid streaking on the paint finish, we recommend using a long handled roller and a high quality 6mm nap roller. You will want to use enough paint to coat your paint roller evenly. Apply the paint in 1.2 m x 1.2 m sections and maintain a wet edge while rolling. If a second coat is desired for uniformity, wait until the first coat is dry to the touch before applying, but it must be applied within 24 hours of your last coat. This sealer was easy to apply and levelled very nicely. The matte finish is outstanding and lets the underlying colour show through. I can't comment on wear but I am confident it wil.l work in our application

Great finish, poor product

Great finish, looks fantastic. The slightest edge of anything, a foot of a stall, a couch, you name it, anything at all and if you don't lift it entirely it immediately tears holes in your floors. I spent $500 on this product and it was a huge waste of money, I will now need to put down different flooring. Very disappointed and very upset to have wasted the money. I personally do not recommend this product unless you intent to have a room that has no furniture in it. The chap at the paint desk helped me, we read all the instructions and got all the right tools for the job so it was not an issue with application.

Q: Can the clear be put over any paint floor surface to seal

  • A: I used it on ceramic tile floor in my kitchen ( 5 coats) then on my ceramic tile in bathroom , 1 coat, and on my ceramic tile and grout in bathroom tub surround, 2 coats.

  • A: This product is AMAZING !! I used it to paint a contractor tile floor in my kitchen, it turned out beautifully. It did yellow a bit , but still looks great!!
