    The Best Soil

Every year I plant tomatoes from seeds. Early this year, CT store ran out of the Premier soil, so I have to buy another kind of soil. The plants that I grew using Premier soil did way better. I don't think I would buy another kind of soil again for my starter and indoor plants. I'm happy with Premier Brand.

    Hi Drucilla,
We are sorry to read about the maggots found in the Premier potting soil. Please be assured it is not Premier Tech Home & Garden's standard practice to produce products that are substandard and contain contaminants.
This product contains only peat moss and perlite. Without knowing more details about the age of the product, and storage conditions it is difficult to determine how insects would have gotten in to the soil and laid their eggs.
Please be aware that all of our products carry a 100% satisfaction guarantee with proof of purchase. You may send your receipt to us, and we will be happy to issue you a refund. Include with your receipt your name, address, telephone number and a short note stating the problem with the product. If you no longer have your receipt you may clip/peel the UPC Symbol (barcode) from the packaging and mail that to us. Kindly include the name of the store that you purchased it from, and how much you paid. Please send your refund request to either:

    A good potting soil

This is the only potting soil I use. Not only is the price decent, but it seems to do a good job for all of my houseplant potting needs. It stores for a long time without issue (i.e. has never gone moldy). The size and carrying handle is convenient.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Nitrogen (nitrate) and phosphate content? How much nitrogen (specifically nitrate) and phosphate are in this soil?

    1 Answer
    • A: Premier Potting Soil is a blend of Canadian Sphagnum peat moss, peat humus, perlite and lime. As to the nutrient values, specifically, Nitrogen - none are added, and as per the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) the regulators of all fertilizer in Canada, any product that has a fertilizer added, or claims to be a fertilizer, must list the N-P-K somewhere on the packaging.
