Unclear measurement stated

Package said 1-1/2 x1-1/2 or 1-1/4. I thought that meant it would be ok for my 1-1/4 drain through the bathroom wall. Turns out that was 1-1/2 I ended up getting the correct size at another store and I'll keep this one for a future project as it was well priced.

I bought this for a new installation. You can’t really be sure if it will work unless you open it, and once I did, I discovered it wouldn’t fit. Unfortunately, even though it was neatly repackaged with all of the parts, Canadian Tire would only give a store credit because it had been opened, and they didn’t have anything similar that I could exchange it for.
