TERRIBLE design! Disgusting results!

Warning: this review may give you nightmares. As others have noted, this is a TERRIBLE design. Yes, it plunges effectively, but due to trapping the "material" you've plunged inside the plunger, I suggest you replace it immediately after every use. I'm not sure how long after it had been used and presumable rinsed by the usual method plungers are, I noticed a "brown" ring inside our plunger holder around the base. When I picked up the plunger it was full of tiny maggots.

No, I do not recommend this product.
