Received this as a gift for Christmas - opened it this week to use. It doesn't work. I replaced the batteries 3 times just to be sure - followed instructions - THE LIGHT DOESN'T HAVE 3 DIFFERENT SETTINGS, AND THE ZAPPER DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.

Versatile little zapper and light

I like this little zapper. It has come in handy both at home and while camping. I pretty much just use it at home now. Canned air is definitely the best way to blow the insects out of the zapper. We have even used this in a power outage this summer because the lantern gives off great light. This would be another cool item to set up near my pool for some extra light in the evening but also pull some bugs away from us...

This is not rechargeable and does not have any USB

I came across this online and thought it would be fantastic to have because it is rechargeable using a mini-USB adapter that is supposed to be included.
So I excited bought six of them for myself and some friends to use at our trailer, only to get home to find that they are not rechargeable, and require three AA batteries to operate. Needless to say, they'll be getting returned to Canadian Tire tomorrow.
How is it possible that you can so blatantly advertise this product incorrectly.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is this item registered to Health Canada PMRA?

A: The Health Canada PMRA is for pesticides there are no chemical compounds used to kill the insects therefore this product is not a pesticide and does not need to be registered.

Q: You say in the product information that this item is USB rechargeable, how is that possible if there is no battery pack in it? It takes 3 AA batteries. False information!!!!
