Q: I purchased the "Petco Plastic Food Scoop, 1-Cup" to scoop food for my dog, but I only used it a short while and now I'm using smaller boxes that don't require a scoop. Would this be safe to scoop ice from my icemaker in my refrigerator?

A: No, you should not use a dog food scoop in an icemaker. The materials used are not designed to withstand extreme cold temperatures. These materials may crack or break, causing pieces to mix with your food and potentially cause harm if ingested.
