Poor fastening design

The center main fastening collar is a very poor design that cannot fasten this faucet securely without bending or slipping the threads. I have to regularly check my faucet as it regularly works loose. I would also prefer the control that gives the option to be right, left or center oriented. Specifically center because I have this on another sink because any wet hand drips are effortlessly over the sink.
The rest of the unit is ok but the above two features were a deal breaker enough to not recommend.

temporarily frustrated, hopefully not for long

initially I thought this would be too big for the sink but it's just nice aesthetically speaking. for functionality I can't say. installation was challenging. I've installed three or four of these types of faucets over the years but this one was the most difficult. I think perhaps a locking nut was missing from the package, because what was supplied barely holds it in place. also the instructions were printed for two, three or four different model types so there was no clear answer there for this specific unit.
