This peeler was a major upgrade from our old one. Blades are sharp in either direction, and works well on carrots, apples, potatoes, so a multitude of textures. Cleaning by hand is a bit rough, but that's to be expected. I do wish the grip was a bit better.

Giving it a 4 because I find the curve on the previous model better and easier to work with, it's still a great product. I've had my older model for over 10 years but after some serious peeling it found it's way in the compost bin and off to the truck. Hopefully someone found it and will put it to use.
